The St. Cloud Rox will start their second season and 70 game schedule on Wednesday, May 29th in Iowa with the Waterloo Bucks. They'll return to Joe Faber for the home opener Friday, May 31st to defend against the Thunder Bay Border Cats.

There's an interesting twist to the Northwoods League this year, though; The return of inter-league play, something that hasn't been around since '09. The North Division Rox  will play South Division foes the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and the La Crosse Loggers during the second half of the season.

Rox Vice President Scott Schreiner said in a press release;

“It is great to have our schedule in place. It gives everyone involved with planning the season a more focused approach. In addition we are very pleased with our schedule for the fans. We have three more weekend dates than 2012 and overall a much more balanced schedule than last year.”

The Rox finished their inaugural season in 2012 by leading the north division in attendance with over 55,000 fans attending the games. Season and single game tickets are currently on sale.  For more information you can call the Rox ticket office at (320) 240-9798 or go online to The Rox's website.

The Northwoods League, which plays two halves to determine playoff participants, will end the first-half of play on July 3. The All-Star Game will take place on July 23, 2013 in Eau Claire, WI. It plays16 teams in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, and Ontario. 98 former Northwoods League players have gone on to play major league baseball.
