And the honors just keep coming for Paul McCartney. On Friday (Feb. 10), McCartney was the man of the hour at the annual 2012 MusiCares gala dinner, where the former Beatle was named the Person of the Year at the star-studded ceremony.

If Steven Van Zandt is forever best known as the guitarist for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, he’ll be perfectly fine with that. After all, the checks associated with that distinction are probably more than okay, right?
Looks like it could be the Beach Boys, not Van Halen, who are going to make big news by reuniting at the Grammy Awards this year. Rumors were flying at breakneck pace around the music business that Van Halen were to make some major announcement at the nominations telecast. That didn’t happen, and it may turn out it was a different iconic California band who appears at the actual ceremony.

November 7, 2011 The Recording Academy sent out a press release regarding the 'Grammy Nominations Concert Live' that will happen November 30th. The release promised an announcement from a "truly iconic group regarding their reunion on the Grammy stage February 12th."
