The Minnesota Gophers (4-1, 1-0) reclaimed the Little Brown Jug with a 30-14 win against the Michigan Wolverines (2-3, 0-1) today in Ann Arbor. Saint Johns (3-1, 1-1) upset MIAC foe #10 Saint Thomas (2-1, 0-1) 24-14 this afternoon in St. Paul. And the SCSU Huskies (1-3, 1-3) fell to visiting Upper Iowa University (4-0, 4-0) this evening in St. Cloud.

We're into conference play now in the college football season, with St. Cloud State at home today, and Minnesota and St. John's on the road. The Gophers will be looking to open their Big Ten schedule with a win at Michigan. The Huskies & Johnnies are hoping to bounce back after last week's losses.

The Minnesota Gophers (2-1) ended their pre-conference schedule with a 24-7 win over visiting San Jose State (1-2) in a storm delayed game yesterday afternoon in Minneapolis. St. Cloud State (1-2) was shutout on the road by the University of Sioux Falls (3-0) 36-0, and St. John's (2-1) lost at home to Concordia (3-0) in their MIAC opener 23-14.

It's a full schedule for area college football teams today, with St. John's and the University of Minnesota at home, and St. Cloud State on the road in Sioux Falls. The Gophers will be looking to bounce back after last week's loss at TCU. The Huskies & Johnnies are hoping to repeat last week's winning ways.

The Gophers are now 1-0 on the season and will play against Middle Tennessee on September 6th at TCF Bank Stadium.

The Minnesota Gophers struggled on defense and were overpowered by the Union Dutchmen in the NCAA title game, falling 7-4.

Following last night's 7-4 loss to Union College in the NCAA Men's Hockey Championship, disappointed Minnesota Gopher fans spilled into the streets of Dinkytown despite warnings from University officials and police. Nineteen arrests were made, and the crowd was dispersed by late Saturday night.

A massive police presence is expected this evening in Dinkytown to deter and deal with possible unruly Gopher fans spilling into the streets following tonight's NCAA Men's Hockey championship. Ten fans were arrested Thursday night following Minnesota's semi-final win over North Dakota.

The Minnesota Golden Gopher men’s hockey team takes on North Dakota tonight in Philadelphia at the Frozen Four (7:00 PM, AM 1390 The Fan).

The Gophers began their run with wins over High Point, St. Mary's and Southern Miss at Williams Arena before a semifinal win Tuesday against Florida State at Madison Square Garden.

The Gophers will play against Southern Methodist for the tourney title Thursday night (5:30, WJON).
