The Twins ended their arbitration cases today by agreeing to a 1-year contract with third baseball Trevor Plouffe worth $7.25 Million. Plouffe hit .244 with 22 homeruns and 86 RBIs and a career high 140 hits in 2015.

The Twins have traded center fielder Aaron Hicks to the New York Yankees for catcher John Ryan Murphy. Hicks batted .256 with 11 homeruns, 33 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 352 at bats in 2015. The 26-year old was the 14th overall pick in the first round by the Twins in 2008.

The Minnesota Twins unveiled plans today (Monday) to reconfigure Target Field's center field seating area into multi-level fan gathering spaces. The renovations will be the most extensive at Target Field so far.
