Rox

The St. Cloud Rox improved to 5-0 in the 2nd half of the season after topping Duluth 5-3 in Duluth Sunday. The Rox fell behind 2-0 in the 3rd inning before scored 2 runs in the 5th inning and another 2 in the 6th inning.

The St. Cloud Rox got a 3rd inning grand slam home run from Charlie Condon and the Rox defeated the Stingers in Willmar 9-3 Thursday night. Brice Mathews added 3 hits, 3 runs scored, a home run and 2 RBIs, John Nett had 2 hits and 2 runs scored and Ethan Mann went 2-3 with 2 RBIs for the Rox.

The Rox lost 9-8 on the 4th of July at the Eau Claire Express. The Express scored 7 runs in the 3rd inning before St. Cloud took the lead at 8-7 with a 4-run 5th inning. Eau Claire scored a run in the bottom of the 5th inning to tie the game at 8 before surging ahead with a run in the 7th inning.

The St. Cloud Rox blanked Bismarck 7-0 on the road last night to clinch the first half Great Plains West Division title. Joseph Battaglia combined with 3 relievers to throw the complete game shutout. Battaglia threw the first 6 innings with 4 hits allowed and 4 strikeouts.

The St. Cloud Rox improve to 21-6 on the season after winning a low scoring 2-1 game at home against the La Crosse Loggers Tuesday night. The Rox scored single runs in the 1st and 4th innings while La Crosse plated their only run in the 7th.

The St. Cloud Rox improved to 20-6 after a 10-2 win over the La Crosse Loggers Monday night at Joe Faber Field. The Rox scored 4 1st innings runs, 2 in the 3rd inning and 4 more in the 7th. Brice Mathews went 2-4 with a home run, 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs and Dawson Martin went 1-4 with 2 RBIs.

The St. Cloud Rox beat the Eau Claire Express 6-3 Tuesday night to improve to 17-3. The Rox scored single runs in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 8th innings and 2 runs in the 7th inning. Will Worthington had 2 hits and 2 RBIs,

The St. Cloud Rox won 11-4 at Wilmar Sunday to improve to 15-3 on the season. The Rox got 2 homer runs and 6 RBIs from Charlie Condon, John Nett added 3 hits, 3 runs scored and a RBI, and Camden Hayslip doubled, tripled and drove in 3 runs for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Rox are 11-2 after a 4-1 win at Willmar Monday night. Magnum Hofstetter had 3 hits, a double a homerun and 4 RBIs to lead the Rox. Jack Steil added a hit and 2 runs scored for St. Cloud. Hunter Day threw 6 innings with 3 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win and improve to 3-0.

The St. Cloud Rox are 4-0 after they posted a 6-2 win at La Crosse against the Loggers Thursday night. Jack Steil had 2 hits, a run scored and 1 RBI and Charlie Condon went 1-3 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Magnum Hofstetter had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for St. Cloud.

The St. Cloud Rox became their season with a 8-4 win at Waterloo against the Bucks. St. Cloud used a 5-run 3rd inning to surge on top. The Rox had 15 hits and were led by Josh Cowden with 3 hits and a run scored.

The St. Cloud Rox have 4 players playing for the Great Plains All Star team tonight in Mankato. The four are Otto Kemp, Andrew Pinckney, Kevin Davis and Caleb Ricketts. The game will be played tonight at 7:05 at ISG Field.
