Former St. Cloud State baseball player Jordan Smith has been named the minor league player of the week in the Cleveland Indiana organization for the 2nd time this season. He batted .571 with a homerun and 8 RBIs at single-A Lake County in the Indians organization.

The St. Cloud State baseball team lost 5-4 to Minnesota State-Mankato in the NCAA Division II Central Regional finals in Mankato Sunday to win the Central Region Championship. Mike Eckhart drove in the game-winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 9th inning.
