ST. CLOUD — From music to wings there is no shortage of fun things to do this weekend around Central Minnesota. Bring your appetite to the Benton County Fairgrounds for Wing Fest 2017, Mike Posner headlining the Mystic Lake showroom, Pioneer Place kicks off a comedy classic, SCSU holds their Spring concert and Tierney Sutton performs at the College of St. Benedict's.     Wing Fest 2017

    Benton County Fairgrounds

    Bring your appetite and make your way to Sauk Rapids Saturday for Wing Fest 2017. Over 36,000 delicious Gold'n Plump Chicken wings will be at your disposal for sampling. The wings are cooked by Henry's Catering & Event Center and sauced by our pro and amateurs competing for the title of Chicken Champ. Now admission is free but you do need to buy the tickets for $1. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. inside the Sports Arena East Building on the Benton County Fairgrounds.

    I Ought to be In Pictures

    Pioneer Place

    A Neil Simon comedy classic comes to the Pioneer Place stage this weekend. I Ought to Be in Pictures is about a Hollywood scriptwriter who is surprised when his forgotten past reappears in the form of his teenage daughter who wants to be a movie star. Tickets for the show are $22. Show times run tomorrow (Friday) through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

    Mike Posner

    Mystic Lake Showroom

    Detroit native Mike Posner will be in Minnesota this weekend at the Mystic Lake showroom Saturday night. Posner burst onto the music scene in 2009, quickly becoming one of the world’s most recognizable voices. He's known for his songs as “Cooler Than Me” and “Please Don’t Go.” Tickets for the show range between $30-$55 and are going fast. Show starts at 8:00 p.m.

    Sing Into Spring

    Newman Center

    St. Cloud State University choir students will be holding there Spring concert tomorrow (Friday) night. The St. Cloud State University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers presents "Sing Into Spring" starting at 6:30 p.m. The works are made up by classical and living composers. Tickets for the show are $5 for adults, $3 for students and seniors and free for SCSU Students with ID. The show takes place inside Newman Center.

    Tierney Sutton

    Gorecki Family Theater

    7-time Grammy nominated vocalist Tierney Sutton will be at the College of St. Benedict's this weekend. Sutton has been touring and recording for over 20 years and is no stranger to the best jazz venues in the country. Sutton will be performing with the talented CSB/SJU Jazz Ensemble to bring this high-energy, big band concert to life. Tickets for the show are $22. Show time starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Gorecki Family Theater.
