Today’s Pets of the Week: The Crosby Cats!
Much has been said about the heroes who rescued the Crosby cats in April. A batch of kitties who've recovered from the hoarding situation are ready for their forever homes!
Today's Pets of the Week from Tri-County Humane Society are the Crosby Cats! The numbers in their names are not permanent, and were added by TCHS to help keep track of the kitties.
Sally is a spayed two-year-old domestic short hair/mix. She's affectionate and loves to be pet when she's comfortable with you! Sally has been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. He/she should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options.
Suzie is a spayed two-year-old domestic short hair/mix. She's a purr machine! Suzie was exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. He/she should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options.
Johnny is a neutered 6-month-old domestic medium hair/mix. He still has lots of kitten energy and doesn't let his visual compromise slow him down! Johnny has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which affects a cat's immune system. Due to this positive status, it's recommended he is kept separated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance. Keep indoors only. While some cats can have health complications from FeLV, many live long, happy lives. Has also been exposed to Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).

Batman has been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. He should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options.
Charlie is a neutered 2-year-old DMH/Mix who's a little shy but will warm right up with some TLC! Charlie tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which affects a cat's immune system. Due to this positive status, it's recommended he/she separated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance. Keep indoors only. Hi Bob! Bob is a cool cat who is super sweet and loves attention. He's a neutered 1-year-old DSM/mix. Bob has tested positive for Feline Leukemia and should only be housed alone or with other FeLU+ cats. Jet (below) is his BFF, so TCHS is offering a BOGO 4 Besties deal for Bob and Jet!
Jet is a neutered 2-year-old DSH/Mix who's shy at first, but will lean in for pets when he's comfortable. Jet is best friends with Bob, and TCHS is offering a BOGO 4 Besties deal for Jet and Bob! He has tested positive for Feline Leukemia and should only be housed with other FeLU+ cats.

Birdie tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which both affect a cat's immune system. Kanga is a neutered 2-year-old DSH/Mix who will thrive in a quiet household with patient pet parents. He loves wet food and Churus! Kanga tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which affects a cat's immune system. This virus is spread through bite wounds between cats and is unlikely to spread in households where cats live harmoniously. Has also been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). Those ears! Fern is a spayed 6-month-old DSH/Mix and is a total sweetheart who's friendly and outgoing. Fern tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), which affects a cat's immune system. Harold as been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but currently tested negative for both. He/she should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options.

Jonas is a big boi who's a bit reserved, but a real sweetie pie when he's comfortable. He's a 2-year-old DSM/Mix with some fresh dental work for delicious snacks! Jonas tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which may affect a cat's immune system. This virus is spread through bite wounds between cats, and is unlikely to spread in households where cats live harmoniously. Has also been exposed to Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). So fluffy! Hilda is a spayed 2-year-old DSH/Mix who will warm up to you with a little patience! A quiet home would help her feel more secure. She should be isolated from other cats until the adoptive family follows up with their veterinarian for guidance on re-testing options.
