Despite only pulling in $26 Million at the box office over the weekend "Total Recall" was indeed enjoyable. The special effects in this movie compared to the 1990 film are far more superior(of course we know more now than back then).

Definitely a total remake aside from the fact the new version is missing the phrase,"Welcome to Johnny Cab" because, well there wasn't one.

Colin Farrell plays Doug Quaid in the new film and also features Kate Beckinsale (who plays his wife), Jessica Biel and Brian Cranston.

It's the vacation mind trip that allows Colin to come to terms with the dreams he's been having (Cosidering his memory had been erased)  only to find they are real. Thanks to Rebel Agent  Jessica Biel he learns of his identity and that he is a special agent mixed up in the rebellion.

Kate Beckinsale is planted in his life by Ryan Cranston's character  and her mission is to basically recruit Colin to their evil plot on society but Jessica Biel has a different idea.

Putting my brother Brett Martin up to bat with his movie review.
