The Twins fell to the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 in 13 innings Wednesday night at Tropicana Field.  Minnesota strikes out 19 times in the loss, tying a team record.

The Twins actually led the game 3-1 going into the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to a two-run home run from Pedro Florimon and an RBI single from Clete Thomas in the fifth. However, Kevin Corriea could not make it through the sixth inning as the Rays tied the game.

Tampa broke through for the win in the 13th off of Twins reliever Ryan Pressly. With two outs and a runner on second, Pressly appeared to have gotten Luke Scott on a check swing for out number three, but umpire Hunter Wendlestadt ruled the slugger held up and awarded him first base.

Ben Zobrist followed with an RBI single to the gap in right center to knock in the game winning run.

The Twins are now 37-51 on the season and wrap up their four game series with Tampa Thursday at 11:10 am. Matt Moore (12-3) will take on Mike Pelfrey (4-6).
