What Are Rock Stars’ Most Iconic Accessories?
Where would Angus Young be without the schoolboy uniform? Would we watch the "Whip It" video if Devo weren't wearing those flower pots on their heads? A website just released a new survey about the most iconic accessories of rock stars. Here's what they came up with.
Scarves
Steven Tyler and Aerosmith have been around for a very long time and when you see a microphone with scarves hanging off of it, don't you kind of instantly know who's microphone it is? Stevie Nicks never took the stage without her scarf/shawl. Jimi Hendrix always had the head scarf rockin'. Little Steven Van Zandt? Same thing. Bruce Springsteen's bandanna from Born In The USA also showed up on Axl Rose's cranium, though I'm sure not the same one. Who else rocked the scarf?
Eyeglasses
John Lennon wore the little round ones, Slash likes the round sunglasses, Bono wears sunglasses all the time sunny or not day or night. Buddy Holly also wore glasses, and Elvis Costello is another famous wearer of the old style cat eye glasses. Do you have a favorite bespectacled rock star?
Hats
Brian Johnson and Angus Young of AC/DC never leave home without their newsboy caps. Bret Michaels loves his cowboy hat. is always wearing the top hat, just like SlashBootsy Collins. No matter where he is, what he's doing, if it's hot or cold, The Edge is always wearing a stocking cap. Can you think of anyone else who else covers up?
