The Minnesota Wild sealed the fate of the Central Division Champion St. Louis Blues with a 4-1 Game 6 win this afternoon in St. Paul -- giving the Wild the 4-games-to-2 series win; eliminating the Blues in the first found for the third season in a row. Zach Parise scored twice and goalie Devan Dubnyk made 30 saves.

Minnesota advanced to the second round and will face the Chicago Blackhawks for the third consecutive time in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Chicago eliminated the Nashville Predators with a win last night.

It was the first time in franchise history that the Wild clinched a series on home ice, and was the first time since 1991, when the Minnesota North Stars defeated the same St. Louis Blues.

The second round best-of-7-series will likely begin Friday or Saturday in Chicago.

The winner of the Minnesota/Chicago series will advance to face the winner of the series between Anaheim and Calgary in the Western Conference finals.
