TORONTO -- For the second straight year a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves has won MVP of the NBA Rising Stars Game during All-Star weekend.

It was team USA defeating team World last (Friday) night 157-154. Wolves players Zach LaVine and Karl-Anthony Towns played for team USA, while Andrew Wiggins played for to world (born in Canada).

LaVine had 30 points and seven rebounds in the game which was good enough to earn him MVP honors. Towns finished with 18 points and seven rebounds.

Their teammate Andrew Wiggins shot 13 of 20 from the field to score 29 points in front of his hometown fans. He was MVP of the game last year.

LaVine and Towns will both be in action again tonight (Saturday) with LaVine geared up to defend his slam dunk title and Town participating in the Skills Challenge.

The 2016 All-Star game is scheduled for Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
