Earlier this month, ZZ Top performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and wanted to do something for the festival's founder, Claude Nobs. Nobs -- a good friend of Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill -- died in January at the age of 76.

For the performance, the trio jazzed things up and performed as a quintet for the first time in their history. Austin-based Hammond B3 organ player Mike Flanigin (who's played with Eric Clapton and Norah Jones, among others) flew in for the show. So did Van Wilks, another Austin-based musician known for his electric and acoustic guitar work.

The concert took place at the Stravinski Auditorium in Montreux, Switzerland, on July 10, 2013. "Montreux is special to us … because of Claude [and] because of every kind of music that is here," Hill said during an interview taped that week.

The set included many of the band's hits as well as a cover of Jimi Hendrix's 'Foxy Lady.'
