103.7 The Loon Gets a Brand New Radio Studio [PICTURES]

103.7 The Loon, St. Cloud's #1 Classic Rock Station finished a complete studio remodel today. We want to show you this amazing new studio!

For the past 16 years your favorite radio legends have broadcast out of The Loon studio in its previous form (shown above, normally with counter tops and full gear). Wow, what great talent and shows have entertained you for years in that studio setup - but it was time to give it a makeover.

After completely gutting the studio to just walls and concrete a week ago, it was time to start the new project. The desk was installed on Monday, carpet and tile laid Tuesday. The picture below was taken Wednesday morning. First step, cutting desk holes and start wiring the mixer board.

By the end of the day Thursday, studio speakers and TV were hung, mics installed, computer monitors installed. The goal, to be broadcasting again from this studio by Friday afternoon. Long hours and constant work are a must.

An early start on Friday was crucial to get the studio completed for broadcasting in the afternoon. A state-of-the-art digital broadcast studio takes an extremely talented engineer to successfully pull off a perfect studio this quickly. Fortunately Townsquare Media has the finest engineer around to pull this off. Mark "Doc" Young was up to the task.

Today (Friday) at 5:01pm, 103.7 The Loon powered up live on-air in this new studio sounding better than ever with perfect timing for the popular "All Request 5 O'Clock Drive Home With Barry Allen" request hour.

Next week there will be some awesome studio decorating hung to easily make 103.7 The Loon's studio the finest in the area.
