29 Years Later This Central MN Gift Certificate Was Used!
It took someone 29 years to use a gift certificate here in Central Minnesota. Maybe it was misplaced, lost somewhere in time until the owner found it, and decided to redeem it. Whatever happened that it took 29 years to redeem, it doesn't matter now, as the owner has something tasty to show for it, from Thielen Meats in Pierz.
The meat market made the long overdue announcement of getting the old certificate over the weekend.
The meat market shared the above photo Saturday afternoon. How awesome is that!? Earlier in the day, a certificate that was 16 years old, and was also redeemed in 2024, who's hanging on to these that long?
It's good to know that the folks at Thielen Meats in Pierz are taking these gift certificates.
The business itself is more than 100 years old and has been serving generations of Central Minnesotans and travelers with family recipes. The meat market is so popular it made it to the 'roof of Africa' this year!
A Morrison County resident, Forest, repped a Thielen Meats hat on his climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. (No word on whether or not Forest shared his Thielen Meats jerky he brought with)
The longtime business is open different hours during the winter, so be sure to check ahead of time before stopping out for weiners, sausage, jerky, or ribeye.
You can find Thielen Meats of Pierz, across from Hartmann's in downtown Pierz at 310 Main St N.
