Behind The Scenes At Surly Brewing (Part 3)

Let’s be honest here – life can be stressful. Anything that can help you unwind and enjoy life is worth indulging in. One of the things that has been helping mankind unwind since the dawn of civilization is beer.

Workers in ancient Egypt were often paid in beer in exchange for their labor. Beer built the pyramids (and so did aliens, but that’s another conversation.) Let that sink in for a moment. Beer is important, and if you don’t agree we can’t be friends.

Needless to say, nothing can take the place of a well crafted, refreshing brew. It’s one of the few things that gets me through the week. The brand that I’ve been drinking pretty exclusively lately is Surly. If you’re a beer connoisseur and live in Minnesota, then you’re already familiar with this beer.

They’re the leaders of the craft beer scene here in the land of 10,000 lakes. I actually hadn’t had a Surly until about a month ago, and holy smokes, was I blown away.

Without a doubt, Surly makes the best beer around, par none. It should come as no surprise that I was pretty excited when I was given the opportunity to get a look behind the scenes at Surly’s legendary brewery in Minneapolis a few weeks ago.
