Well, being the worst tourist attraction and the best mall in the continental United States can both be true.  One does not actually have anything to do with the other.

The Mall of America, located in Bloomington has been nominated by USA Today Reader's Choice Awards as the best mall.  This has nothing to do with whether or not it's a good or bad tourist attractions. By the way, the reason it's considered as a bad tourist attraction is because of it's size.  It's too big.  That, to me, seems like the reason it would be a good one.  The amusement park in the middle, the other activities you can take part in, all without even talking about the shopping experience.

You can vote on if they should win the best or not through Monday, June 2nd.

To me, this seems like a no-brainer.  Of course it's the best mall in the United States.  It's probably the best mall in the world.  How do you compare it?  There is nothing else that has all the amenities of the Mall of America with an indoor mall.  Nothing.

If you look at some of the comments on this post, you will see that someone mentioned that it's "probably because it's the only one left". That is simply not true.  While it is true that many malls have not made it back since the pandemic, there are still many of them that are operating and thriving.  Some of them have had to make adjustments, like Crossroads Mall here in St. Cloud.  They have had to add some additions that aren't necessarily stores.  They have added things that are more of a service.  Like Crunch Fitness.

Anyway, you can vote for your home state mall - the Mall of America through June 2nd.
