Red Cross Spring Blood Drives – They Need YOU!
Throughout the year, there are times when you need to give blood, if you can. There are some people who are so willing and are able to give blood, and they do on a regular basis. But the need is always there. Sometimes more than other times, and this is one of those times.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO DONATE BLOOD
Blood does not have a long shelf life, so that's why there needs to be a steady stream of regular blood donors. Plus, when you give blood, you can potentially save three lives.
A single blood donation, typically one pint, can save up to three lives because it is separated into three key components—red blood cells, platelets, and plasma—which are used to treat different patients.
WHERE IS THERE A BLOOD DRIVE CLOSE TO ME
Right now, the American Red Cross has some blood drives going now through the next few weeks. And there is some incentive if you do choose to give blood during this time.
Those who come to give March 30-April 12, 2026, will get an exclusive Red Cross x Life is Good® T-shirt, while supplies last. Visit RedCrossBlood.org/LifeIsGood for details, and check out these downloadable T-shirt images to support your story.
If you are wondering where you can donate, check out this list, and you can choose which one is the most convenient for you. You can always make an appointment to donate, or just show up to one of the drives in your area. You can make an appointment there too, and sometimes it's best to do that, so you make the most efficient use of your time.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A DONATION
They want to make sure that your blood is regenerating enough for you to leave safely after your donation.
