
Watch Out Campers, Coleman Issues Recall Of Popular Products
For most people, this is camping weather. Now, the term camping means different things to different people. No matter if you think camping is pitching a tent and sitting around the fire, or heading to the cabin, and spending a lot of time under the stars, camping type chairs are likely to be in use.
If you are even remotely familiar with camping, you likely know the brand name Coleman; they’ve been making camping related products for years. Well, they have just recalled one of their camping chair products that sold well over 228,000.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission reported late last week that the “Converta Camping Cot” and the “Converta Camping Suspension Stretcher” because of possible incidents that could where their fingers could be pinching.
That may sound like a rather mild thing, but the Consumer Product Safety Commission says that there have been seven injury reports filed and in two of those cases, the injured party suffered a fracture of their finger.
The recall covers the Coleman Converta Camping Cots with the model numbers 2000003007 and 2000020282 and the Converta Camping Suspension Stretcher with the model number 2000020290. The model numbers are printed on a tag that is attached to the frame.
Both of these products are made with white or tan fabric that has the Coleman logo printed on the fabric. The frame and legs of these products are black in color.
If you own one of these camping cots or stretchers, you are urged to stop using them immediately. But there is good news, owners are supposed to contact The Coleman Company, and they will be sent a free repair kit that includes installation instructions on how to properly repair this product.
