“Cool Cat” Liddy, Up For Adoption
Like every Tuesday morning, Kate, from Tri County Humane Society, called in this morning with this week's adoptable pet.
Meet Liddy! This beautiful tortoiseshell came to TCHS due to being upset about the new baby in the home. Due to this, Liddy should not be adopted into a home with any young children. It is unknown how Liddy would do around dogs or other cats as she's been a solo pet for almost her whole life. She may do best as an only pet in her new home as well.
Any introductions to new family members should be slow and proper- ask a staff member or volunteer for detailed tips. Liddy was described as usually mellow and sweet, but can be a typical sassy tortoiseshell when she wants her way. She may take a while to warm up to new environments and people and will need her space respected for the first few days home.
Liddy would love lots of hiding spaces and a window perch or two in her new digs. This pretty lady is very overweight- her new owners should have a conversation with her vet about starting her on a healthy diet. Liddy is looking for a quiet home to spend her golden years in- she's got plenty of love to give!
Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care. To military personnel, veterans and seniors-the fee would be waived.
