Costco Offering Private Jet Service, But It’ll Cost You
There are a lot of people that just don't feel safe flying commercial airlines, lately. Even though the air filtrations systems and constant chemical cleaning that takes place as well as the mandatory mask rule on flights, some just don't feel safe enough to fly.
Well, just when you thought Costco had it all, they added something else. You can now buy a one year membership for a private jet charter. Yep, that's right, a private jet charter company offering one year memberships, Wheels Up, allows members to book trips on a private jet. “as easily as a ride share or short-term vacation rental,” the product description says.
Just pack your bags, oh and you also need $17,499. That sounds like a lot but you also get a $3500 Costco Shop Card and $4000 worth flight credit. Some of the other perks include a one year membership to Inspirato a luxury vacation rental subscription service and "guaranteed nationwide aircraft availability up to 365 days a year".
You can also buy what they call the "Fund Program" with lower rates and lower billable fly times.
Wheels Up has a pretty large fleet of aircraft, including over 300 private aircraft and 1,250 partner aircraft.
So, dig out your credit card and get set to travel. You can find Wheels Up memberships under the "Electronics" category or with the other gift cards in your local Costco.
