Guitarist Vivian Campbell says the group may be headed into the studio next year, but they have some things to finish up first.

In a new interview with RadioMetal.com, Campbell says the guys will be recording new material sometime in 2012, but the group is going to "lean a little bit toward the rock side of the spectrum" but he says that the band is constantly evolving and the next project will be a "fusion of rock elements" and points to 1983's Pyromania as an example.

Def Leppard is out on tour at the moment and you can catch them this weekend at Rock Fest in Cadott, Wisconsin and again at the Minnesota State Fair August 26 with Heart.

Whatever they do, I just hope that Joe Elliot brings back the ripped jeans and Union Jack t-shirt!
