You may have seen this if you were at the St. Paul Winter Carnival this past weekend. If not, here's the full video of the Prince flash mob that happened on Saturday in front of the ice castle.

As the Super Bowl was getting ready to kick off the next day in Minneapolis, the city of St. Paul was well into their Winter Carnival and showing off to all the people in Minnesota with a statement dubbed "bold north", by arranging a flash mob to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy".

The flash mob was arranged by Medtronic employee, Jenny Wood, and choreographed with the help of Katie Ressie and Bill Hermann. The video was shot by Limited Edition Productions and has now been viewed by over 250,000 people.

Before attendees of the ice castle attractions had any idea what was about to happen, it looked like a normal gathering of people...except a fair amount of various people with purple bomber hats spread throughout the grounds. Suddenly the music of Prince's song "Let's Go Crazy" started playing and those in the purple hats started gathering to dance to a rehearsed routine that put all eyes on them.

It was a feel-good moment for Minnesota on a weekend that had all eyes on our state. It couldn't have been a better backdrop, with a perfectly timed snowfall coming down -- stamping the "bold north" name in a video time capsule for years to come.
