I happen to be somewhat of a mad scientist when it comes to experimenting with alcohol. Sure, you could play things by the book and research other people’s recipes for tasty cocktails, or you could be an innovator and make your own.

Personally, I prefer coming up with my own concoctions. A few weeks ago I was feeling inventive and came up with this pretty radical recipe for rum infused punch. I call it "Knock-out Punch." Pun intended. After all, you can't spell punch without "Pun." Buh-duh-tss. Don't worry, I won't quit my day job. Here are the ingredients you’ll need.

- Malibu coconut rum
- A tub of sherbet
- A gallon Hawaiian Punch
- 2 liter of Ginger Ale
- 46 oz can of Dole Pineapple juice
- 3 energy drinks (I recommend Monster Punch)

Step 1: Empty all of the tub of sherbet into a large punch bowl

Step 2: Add Hawaiian Punch until bowl is roughly half full

Step 3: Empty half of the can of pineapple juice into the bowl

Step 4: Add 2-3 cups of Ginger ale to the mix

Step 5: Stir the concoction until the sherbet has mostly melted

Step 6: Pour the amount of rum and energy drink you’d like into a glass, then add punch mix and enjoy

(Note: Do not add rum or energy drinks into the bowl. Keep them separate and add to each individual drink as needed.)
