Entire Days of Our Lives Cast Released from Contract.

Say what??  Yes, apparently they have all- the entire cast- been released from their current contracts.  What this actually means, is that they are free to go and get different jobs if they would like to.  It doesn't mean they have been fired, it just means that they are free to go... if they want to.

If this were me, I would see the writing on the wall and try to find some other employment, but this is what TMZ had to say...

So, to be clear ... "Days of Our Lives" -- which first aired in 1965 -- has NOT been canceled. Not yet. It's possible they'll bring everyone back, if the network re-ups, but at lower salaries.

We've reached out to NBC ... but no word back, so far.

This seems like an end of an era. When I was in High School we all watched All My Children.  But when I got to college, there was no choice.  One TV, and it was tuned to Days of Our Lives at Noon...no option.  So, I got hooked on that one.  Granted I haven't watched this thing in years... except very here and there, but this seems like bad news.

The good news for 'Days' fans ... the soap shoots 8 months in advance, and there's going to be enough episodes in the bank when the show halts production at the end of November to last through Summer 2020.

So, you're saying there's a chance....
