I am not a sports fan, but I am a fan of making and eating food while the game is on TV! I found a recipe on Pinterest yesterday that I decided to put my own spin on! Here is how to make Abbey's Super Easy Six Layer Sandwich Ring! (Step-by-step photos included!)

You will need:

  • 2 tubes of Pillsbury crescent refrigerated dough
  • About a pound of deli meat (I used Kretschmar Honey Ham and hard salami)
  • Two different types of cheese slices (I used swiss and mild cheddar)
  • A package of pepperoni slices
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • Italian seasoning (optional)


  • Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees
  • Slice the onion into thin rings caramelize in a frying pan with a tablespoon of olive oil
  • Spray a circular pizza pan with non-stick spray and lay out rectangles of the crescent dough in a circle with the inside ends touching. I used the first tube to make a "+" shape, and then used the second tube to make an "x" shape. It ended up making a perfect circle.
