This duopoly of potential mayhem only comes around every couple of decades. Well, it's time has come. This Friday the 13th will not only be upon us but the Universe is also throwing in a full moon.

Normally, I'm not a superstitious guy, but I'm making an exception for this Friday. If I had a bunker, I'd be spending most of the day there but I don't. So I'll be an easy target for whatever this bad luck double whammy throws at me.

According to the Farmer's Almanac, the last time we had a full moon on Friday the 13th was October 13th, 2000.  The next time this kind of thing rears it's ugly head will be August 13th, 2049. So, you see, this is not a common occurrence.

Eastern time zones are a safer bet. The full moon will not occur until 12:33 AM the 14th. But, right here, in Minnestoa we will see the actual full moon on the 13th.
