How Smart Are Minnesotans?

Just how smart are the people of Minnesota?  A new study ranked states by the smartest, using graduation rates and test scores. The top 10 smartest states were, believe or not, New Jersey came in #1, followed by Utah, Massachusetts, North Carolina and Montana. Coming in last was Idaho.

Minnesota did make the top 10. New Jersey just edged out Utah for number. The rest of the top 10 smartest states were  Massachusetts, North Carolina, Montana, Virginia, Kansas, Wisconsin, Oregon and Minnesota.

Last on the list of smartest states were Kentucky, Ohio, Mississippi, Hawaii, Alaska, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma.  Idaho came in dead last.

Good news for Minnesota. Not only did we make the top ten but we also have the highest average SAT score at 1284. Not bad!
