Former Viking Credits Team Chaplain With His Deeper Faith
There is no doubt that life can be a real struggle. At times, it’s harder than it is at other times. Different people have different ways to “survive” the storms of life.

During the hard times is when a lot of people lean on their faith more. When we’re feeling up against a situation that we can’t seem to find a way out of, we’re more inclined to be on a journey of faith.
Over the last four years or so, I’ve been trying to strengthen my walk with God and evaluate the steps I’ve taken to this point and then trying to be more deliberate with the steps I take moving forward.
Yesterday, I saw a post from Sports Spectrum on “X”. Sports Spectrum is a Media and News Company, with a online magazine and podcast, that says their platform is where sports and faith intersect. They were talking with former Minnesota Viking Jared Allen about his faith and how it helped shape his life.
Allen gave credit to a Chaplain with the Vikings who asked him a question that made him think. That question was “if you were arrested for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
Allen says that one question caused him to really do a deep dive on his faith and walk with God, and it helped his reshape the path he was on and how he lived his day to day because at the time his answer to the question was no.
Jared Allen discussed some of the small changes he started making and how similar living his faith each day was to the traits that made him such a force on defense, which led him to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Hopefully seeing this post will offer you the same encouragement that it did for me.
