Lake Maria State Park In Monticello Makes List of Fun Places In Minnesota

This is a pretty cool list and I'm pretty excited that it includes a state park near my home in Monticello.

Newscastic put together a list of some pretty awesome places to see right here in Minnesota. One of them happens to be in my hometown of Monticello.

Lake Maria State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks I've ever visited.  I know many people who horseback ride through there and in the summer, there's no shortage of activities that go on there.  There's always kids out there learning about nature and I'm pretty sure you can camp.  It definitely deserves a spot on this list.

I will say there are many places I never never knew existed but I've added a few to my list of must-sees.  One of them is the Teddy Bear Park in Stillwater.  I'm too old to go there and play by myself but I think it looks like a fun place to take the kids.  Apparently there are many play structures and teddy bear sculptures.  I wonder if it's possible to go back to being 5??

I'm also intrigued by the Rustic Inn on the North Shore.  According to the article the food is awesome and the pie is even better.  Plus, it looks like a cool place to stay.
