I get to speak with the Tri-County Humane Society every week about a featured adoptable pet that is available.  This week, the featured pet is someone who loves to run around, play and also loves kids and other dogs.  Cats - well, frankly no one is sure about that.  The people at the Tri-County Humane Society aren't sure if he's ever met a cat, so if you have one; a meet and greet is probably needed before bringing him home.

BECOME ONE OF THE BOOK BUDDIES - KIDS CAN PRACTICE READING

Apollo loves to be read to.  There is this great program at TCHS that has kids come in to read books to the animals.  The kids get some practice reading aloud and the pets love the company.  A lot of times they will just fall asleep, and that is really a huge compliment.  If you have a kid that would love to do that, you can sign them up for Book Buddies through the TCHS website.

APOLLO IS ONE OF THE SPONSORED PETS AT THE TCHS

Scooters Coffee will many times sponsor a pet at the TCHS. This time, Apollo is on the list to be sponsored, which means either all or some of the adoption fee will be covered by Scooters Coffee.  Win win for everyone involved.

Apollo is a very active medium sized dog.  He weighs just shy of 40 pounds, and no one is totally sure what breed he is.  But looks like a mixture of a few different breeds.  Whatever he is, he's a lovebug.  Beware - sometimes he likes to try and escape from a fence surround.  So, just something to be aware of.

If you would like to have a look at Apollo and meet him, it's best to ask to see him outside of his kennel.  He's tired of being in there, and loves being outside and around people, so make an appointment to see Apollo at the shelter, but outside of the kennel.
