It's that time again!  Each week we get to feature an adoptable pet from the Tri-County Humane Society.  And this week, it is a beautiful 6 year old husky mix named Gypsum.  She is slightly overweight, and could do with some actual exercise.  She loves to be outside playing, so when she is adopted, it shouldn't be an issue to drop a couple of pounds.

LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME - LET'S HELP GYPSUM

Gypsum is an energetic, sassy pup.  She loves to go swimming.  Obviously not right now, but during the summer months, get her near a lake and she will be the happiest dog!  Currently she is about 80+ pounds, so exercise is key.  But she loves to do that, so a win there.

NO CAT HOME WOULD BE IDEAL FOR THIS PARTICULAR DOG

Couple of things to be aware of, she does NOT get along with cats.  So if you have a resident cat, probably not the best adoption plan.  If you have kids, or another dog in the home, it's best to bring either or and have a meet and greet at the shelter.  Gypsum has been around dogs before and has always gotten along with them, but it's still a good idea to have slow introductions.

GREAT NEWS - SHE IS CRATE, KENNEL AND HOUSE TRAINED

She is also crate/kennel trained and house trained.  She will head to the door and stand there when she has to go out, which is very helpful.
