Minnesota is Actually #1 in (Women’s) Professional Sports!
Here come the angry bros.
Men's professional sports has failed us - repeatedly - since the Twins' 'chip in 1991. The Timberwolves just got our hopes up, reached the conference finals, put themselves into a deep hole they couldn't howl out of, and Minnesota-Sportsed their way face-first into elimination. Typical. <<< THAT is the cynicism of the Minnesota Sports Fan...the one who only cares about men's sports. Guess what? Our women's pro teams have been killing it this century. Which of the men's Big Four can say that?
Now That The Angry Bros Went Back to Facebook To Cry...
Like the 2002 Minnesota Twins; the 1999, 2000, 2009, and 2017 Minnesota Vikings; the 2020 Minnesota United FC; and the 2004 Minnesota Timberwolves...the 2024 Minnesota Timberwolves experienced this:
Ya know who DIDN'T experience that?
- 2011 Minnesota Lynx
- 2013 Minnesota Lynx
- 2015 Minnesota Lynx
- 2017 Minnesota Lynx
- 2024 PWHL Minnesota
The Lynx lost the finals in 2012 and 2016, so your Minnesota Lynx made it to the league championship every year between 2011 and 2017, minus 2014, where they lost the conference finals. That's called a dynasty, homie.
The Minnesota Aurora - our professional women's soccer franchise - reached the league final in 2022 and the conference final in 2023. They won their home opener 7-0 last night. This is their third season of existence.
WHAT'S YOUR POINT, CHOAD?
Stop whining about how Minnesota pro sports sucks, and support the pro teams that don't sh*t the bed every year.
