It's been over 6 months now that we've basically been hunkered down due to the pandemic. Restaurants have been hit and miss as far as in house dining with shutdowns and people just being extra cautious about being out in public.

This has caused a lot of us to turn to take-out for our nourishment. I have to admit, being away from home 5 days a week combined with being a less than good cook, I tend to use take-out at least 4 or 5 times a week.

Evidently, I'm not the only one. According to a survey by bid-on-equipment.com, Minnesota comes in at #6 for take-out in the country. The 5 states that beat us for take-out were Maine at #5, Colorado at #4, Massachusetts at #3, New Hampshire at #2 and Rhode Island taking the number one spot for take-out.

The survey also concluded that as a whole, the country has really upped their take-out orders since the pandemic began. The average American orders take-out about 2.4 times a week, spending an average of $67 per week on take-out.

The survey also found that it's not just that we are tired of cooking at home. It seems we are also concerned with supporting local business and restaurants have had an extra tough time making it since the pandemic started.

FYI, Iowa was ranked # 38th and Wisconsin # 22.
