Minnesotans Making Minimum Wage Getting A Raise

ST. PAUL - If you're making minimum wage you'll be getting another raise in a few months. Minnesota's minimum wage rates will be adjusted for inflation on the first of the year.

The large employer minimum wage will increase by 15 cents from the current $9.50 to $9.65.

The wage for small employers, youth and training wages, and others goes up by 12 cents from the current $7.75 to $7.87.

Under Minnesota law, the commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry is required to determine and announce the inflation adjusted minimum wage rate each year by August 31st.
