It's the Halloween season... and there was a survey done that showed who the most popular or the scariest horror movie villain is in every state.  Minnesota, along with 4 other states came in with Hannibal Lecter from the Silence of the Lambs movie.  Yes, I think he's super creepy.  But I would have gone with Jack Torrance from The Shining.  Mostly because he is a guy that was seemingly normal, and just basically goes nuts.  And for that reason, I also think that The Shining is one of the scariest, if the THE scariest movies ever!

If you would like to know who the most popular villain is around the country that would be Jack Torrance.  Yep, obviously they didn't ask me... I'm in total agreement with that one.  10 states came in with that result.

The other states came in this way... Pennywise from IT came in with 8 states, Chucky from Child's Play - 6, Frankenstein's Monster- 6, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre- 4, Alien (really??)- 3, Carrie- 2, Ghostface from Scream- 2, Norman Bates from Psycho- 2, Dracula- 2 and finally Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street- 1.  I'm surprised that neither Michael Myers from Halloween or Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th made the list in any state??
