When it comes to home decor, mirrors are a popular choice. Not only are they used for allowing you to see what you’re wearing or how your hair looks, mirrors are also used to tie together the decorative design and feel of a room.

My wife loves to decorate with mirrors, big ones, and small ones, we’ve got quite a few mirrors. One of the biggest challenges of buying a mirror is how heavy they are.  The weight, of course, can affect if the darn thing actually hangs on the wall.

Having a mirror drop from its hanging position is not a good thing.  And if you’ve bought a mirror from Lowes Hardware stores recently, you could have a potential issue that you’re unaware of.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports a recall on oval and rectangular wall mirrors made by Origin 21. The issue at hand is that the mirror can become separated from the frame and fall to the floor.

The dimensions of the mirrors in question are 22 x 31 for the rectangle mirror. The model number is L1-MH-1647. The oval mirror dimensions are 24 x 36, and the model number is L1-MH-1693.

There have been fifteen reports of this happening, spurring on the recall. No injuries have been reported yet, but the risk is still there if consumers continue to keep these mirrors hanging on their walls.

Consumers should contact the Huahong Art Home Shares for details on how to get a full refund.

These mirrors were sold in Lowes Stores and at Lowes.com between October 2023 and April of 2024 at a price point between $60 and $80. Over 27,000 of these mirrors were sold during that period.

LOOK: Cool Car Features We Kind of Miss

Kids these days don't know what they're missing out on! But hey, let's be real, some of those old car features were pretty awesome. Yeah, they might've been a bit risky and even tried to kill us, but they made our rides feel way cooler.
