Only Prince would be able to pull off launching a makeup line five years after his passing. Minnesota's favorite purple rocker's estate has teamed up with (also purple) makeup brand Urban Decay for a limited edition, sure rare collector's item line of cosmetics:

The collection was meticulously curated with The Prince Estate and fetures exclusive, never-before-seen essentials insprired by his iconic style and unparalleled self-expression. The UD|PRINCE collleciton is kaleidoscopic yet singular, just like Prince.

The collection is launching on May 27th, 2021 and will cost $250. Here is what it contains:

  • U Got the Look 10 Shade Eyeshadow Palette: 10 all-new, vegan shades, ranging from pearly cream and sunset gold metallic to deep blue-purple and black glitter.
  • Let's Go Crazy 10 Share Eyeshadow Palette: 10 all-new, ultra-blendable shades, ranging from creamy violet and iridescent purple to metallic eggplant and deep blue glitter.
  • Kajal Eye Pencils: Creamy kajal eye pencils in black and white, inspired by Prince’s signature bold eyeliner and smoldering gaze.
  • Prince All Nighter Setting Powder: This translucent, vegan setting powder that controls shine while mattifying and waterproofing makeup for up to 11 hours.
  • Prince Liquid Highlighter: A shimmery liquid highlighter for face and body, infused with shea butter, creates a universally flattering, dewy glow.
  • Price Multi-Tasker Brush: A super-fluffy, vegan brush can be used wet or dry anywhere on the face and body.

You might be thinking, "that is a lot to spend on makeup," but the price breakdown isn't too bad compared to other products from the same brand. Urban Decay 12 shade eyeshadow palettes run about $50, and this vault comes with two of them. Eyeliners are about $20, and the vault has two of those as well. The setting powder is about $35, and the brush is about $30. I couldn't find a similar highlighting product, but it's most likely $25-ish.
