I HATE snakes.  And seriously, I don't say that lightly.  I really do hate the slithery things,  And weirdly enough, it's not the fact that some of them are venomous. That has no bearing my disdain  for the nasty things.  I just don't like the split tongue going in and out, the slithery way they move around, the wrapping around things, the gross "snake eyes" they have, just nothing good about these animals.  I know people fell like that about spiders, but give me a spider over a snake any day of the week.  Don't get it twisted, I don't really care for those things either.. .but given a choice....

So, back to the snakes that were found in Southern Minnesota.  If you are thinking... what are rattlesnakes doing in Southern Mn?  Well, here's the thing...

The snakes are venomous, but quite honestly, they are just as afraid of humans as we are of them, so back away slowly and just call the DNR- guess what... they have a VOLUNTEER snake removal committee.  Seriously, WHO volunteers for that kind of duty?  NOT ME!!
