OK, now that Halloween is over and we’re all coming down from the Sugar high that most of us have been on for nearly the last week, the attention turns to Christmas. Trying to get decorations up before the weather turns worse is on the mind of some, especially the parents.

But for the kiddos, many of them are now working on that all important “wish list”. Even if they’re not sure where they fall on the “naughty vs nice” list, they’re still putting the list together, because that’s what kids do.

I remember as a kid, trying to determine what I really wanted for Christmas early, so I would increase the odds that I would get it. (I really was that analytical when it came to Christmas presents- some who know me are incredibly shocked by this). So, getting an early start has some merit to it.

Kids in the St. Cloud area will have the chance to not only be early on the list, but they also have the chance to get some important face time with The Big Man himself, SANTA! (anybody else hear Will Ferrell from “Elf” whenever you hear the jolly man’s name?)

On Saturday December 9th, The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA will host breakfast with Santa. From 8-11am that day, Kids of all ages can meet with Santa, and have breakfast, participate in cookie decorating, holiday crafts, and more. The cost is only $8 per person and the deadline to register is Saturday December 2nd.

Not only does this sound like fun for the kids and parents alike, but Mom and Dad could use being able to attend this event as leverage to keep the kids leaning toward the “nice” side of the list instead of the “naughty” one.
