Veteran's Day was observed on Friday and The Boston Bruins said thanks to a local soldier by allowing him to drop the ceremonial first puck and he surprised the heck out of his parents in the process.

Lieutenant Charles Jacobs is in the middle of a tour of duty in Afghanistan and made a secret trip home. His parents were being honored at the Boston Bruins/Buffalo Sabres game and they had no idea their son was in the building. Check it out. It even made the announcer choke up a little bit.

Oh yeah. And check out how enormous Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara is.

Thank you so much to all of our armed forces. We love you.
