St. Cloud Man Faces 12 Years in Prison After Meth Bust
LITTLE FALLS -- A St. Cloud man is facing over 12 years in prison after authorities found 4.5 ounces of meth in his vehicle.
According to the criminal complaint 38-year-old Ronald Schlangen of St. Cloud was arrested on drug charges on February 23. Minnesota State Patrol Troopers pulled Schlangen over on Highway 10 in Morrison County. After running his plates Troopers discovered Schlangen had a warrant out for his arrest.
Authorities say Schlangen had a woman passenger in his vehicle who looked like she was under the influence. Troopers found a pipe with methamphetamine residue on her.
While searching Schlangen's vehicle troopers found meth inside a pink flowered box and green bag as well as $4,900 in cash next to the box. Troopers also found just over $2,500 in Schlangen's wallet during the search.
Schlangen was convicted of 1st Degree and 2nd Degree Controlled Substance Crime Tuesday. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 6.
