Starting a small business is not an easy task. Where you decide to start that business is more important than you may realize, and St. Cloud ranked very well as a great place to start that business.

Wallethub just released their annual report of 2018's Best and Worst Places to Start a Small Business. There were 1281 total smaller cities included in this list. They found that a small city offers unique advantages and disadvantages to new business owners. Some benefits include lower overhead costs, stronger relationships with customers and the potential to become a big fish in a little pond.

St. Cloud ranked very high in this list compared to many other cities in Minnesota, at #207!

There were a total of 33 Minnesota cities that made the list of 1281 small cities in the country. The worst place in Minnesota that made the list was Andover at #1159!

If you're wondering who came in dead last, it was Suisun, California. As a matter of fact, California cities made up for 6 of the last 7 on the list. Might want to stay away from those if you're an entrepreneur!
