These Minnesota Buildings Are Considered Strange According to this Study
I know that I have seen some weird buildings over my years of traveling to different areas. Some houses are super weird, or maybe just painted a strange color. Something out of the norm.
There was a study done regarding the strangest buildings in Minnesota. And a couple of them are super cool, and a couple of them are not that strange...at least to me.

US BANK STADIUM
Now, I know that this building is supposed to look basically like a Viking ship. I'm not sure I really see that, but it was also compared to the Jawas ship or rover or whatever it is called. The thing that the Jawas move around with in Star Wars Episode IV. Otherwise known as the original Star Wars. And now that I think about it, it totally does look like that. Just imagine it all in brown/rust color. Yep, Jawas.
ST. JOHN'S ABBEY
I've always thought this building was super cool. Never thought it was "strange or weird" per se, but it was/is a very cool looking building. It made the list of strange buildings in Minnesota.
...you're met not by a steeple, but by a shield. Marcel Breuer’s Brutalist masterpiece is dominated by a massive, 112-foot concrete "bell banner"—a slab of gray weight that acts as a holy aegis. The church behind it’s a fortress of theology, stripping away the delicate ornamentation of traditional Catholicism in favor of sheer power and volume.
BIG FISH SUPPER CLUB
Ok. I'm on board with this building is super weird, but in a really good way. Check out the fish!!! And this is one of the ways that you can get into the building. There is another door, but given the choice, I am going with the fish enterance every time.
WEISMAN ART MUSEUM IN MINNEAPOLIS
The building itself is a piece of art. The thing that I notice is all of the metal. I mean, how hot does this thing get with the sun beating down on it? It has to be unbelievably hot! Unless there is something that has been done to it to make sure that doesn't happen.
Check out the Weisman Art Museum website.
You can check out some of the other "strange" buildings in Minnesota here. Do you actually think these are strange? I picked the strangest looking ones, to me, anyway.
