UNDATED -- The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 1:00 a.m. Saturday for central and northern Minnesota, including Stearns, Benton and Shurburne Counties.

Thunderstorms will become more likely later Friday afternoon across west central, and central Minnesota.

The risk of severe thunderstorms occurs late Friday afternoon, and into the evening. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado will be possible, with the highest risk period between 7 PM and 11 PM.

The risk of flooding increases overnight as thunderstorms begin to train over the same areas.
