Today in Music News 1.10.17
Every weekday, we take a look at what's happening in Music News.
Check out the headlines HERE:
- Today is the one year anniversary of David Bowie's death. Bowie died just a few days after his 69th birthday on January 10th, 2016 due to liver cancer. (And then the rest of 2016 just steadily went down-hill for celebrity deaths.)
- Even though David Bowie is no longer with us, thankfully we can still hear new music from him that’s never been released. Right now, a new EP has come out with the last three songs to be recorded by the late legend. It’s called No Plan, and is available on i-Tunes.
- Former Heart frontwoman Ann Wilson will be spending the next year on the road, announcing her own solo tour for 2017. Wilson will have 20 shows across the U.S., however none are scheduled for the Minnesota area.
- U2 has also just announced a summer tour for this year, called the Joshua Tree 2017 tour! Sadly, the closest the band’s gonna get to Minneapolis is Chicago, on June 3rd.
RIP Ziggy, we miss you!
