Every weekday, we take a look at what's happening in Music News.

Check out the headlines HERE:

  • Phish, a band made famous for their amazing live performances and their legendary Halloween shows, played a tribute to the late David Bowie last night. They covered the entire The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars album!
  • Also yesterday, Metallica delivered on their promise! On Halloween, their 3rd single of the new Hardwired.. To Self-Destruct album was released. Listen to ‘Atlas, Rise!’ here!
  • Jackyl frontman Jesse James Dupree thinks that both Bono and Bruce Springsteen should just focus on music, and not airing their political opinions. However, he did not say it so kindly. Dupree told CBS Radio that he believes musicians shouldn't use their music as a political platform, and that it is "anti-rock" to do so.
  • For a while now, there have been rumors of Iggy Pop possibly retiring. We got this idea because he has basically come out and said that he figures he's done making albums after Post Pop Depression that came out in March. But since then, he has recorded five new singles that will be used for promotional purposes!
