Every weekday, we take a look at what's happening in Music News.

Check out the headlines HERE:

  • Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash has updated Elton John‘s “Rocket Man” in honor of a stuntman’s attempt at Evel Knievel’s jump across Idaho’s Snake River Canyon.
  • Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's HBO show Vinyl has been cancelled.
  • Ted Nugent‘s concert at the Freeborn County Fair this Friday is causing some people to protest, saying Ted does not represent the values shared by Minnesotans.
  • The Beatles‘ groundbreaking seventh studio album, Revolver, turns 50 years old this week.

I am a huge fan of Slash, AND Elton John, so the fact that one of my favorite guitarists has covered "Rocket Man" has made my day. Evel Knievel is pretty cool, too. So I hope the jump goes well!

I had never heard of the HBO show Vinyl before. Of course, Mick and Martin are unhappy with the result of the cancellation. They believed there were too many cooks in the kitchen, referring to too many producers for the show.

I wish good luck to Ted on Friday. Things could get pretty interesting at the Freeborn Co. Fair this year!
