More or less here comes the age of the more heavier sound we came to eventually know as metal and it began in 1968.

Led Zeppelin pretty much wrapped things up in 1980 as a band.

The band's fourth album had a group of four ancient runes, each one stood for a member of the band.
The band received their one and only Grammy which was the Lifetime Achievment Award in 1995.

Led Zeppelins  career began as The New Yardbirds.

Their first album was released in 1969, debuting their unique blues-heavy metal-psychedelic sound.

Before they disbanded in 1980 after the death of drummer John Bonham, the group released eight studio albums and one live album.

Since they've had an original album and nine compilations released.

Robert Plant went on to a very  successful solo career since 1982.
